I own the HE1000 V2 and am currently able to borrow an Arya Stealth (v3) from someone to help him burn them and to also test the sound. I found out the same things as what most people talked about when they were comparing these 2 (similarly, HE1000 V2 vs HE1000SE): Arya SE demonstrates more details but has a quite constricted soundstage, while HE1000 V2 is the opposite.

The HE1000 V2 was often regarded as HIFIMAN's bassiest open-back set, with many people finding it a lot more agreeable than the overly bright, but insanely detailed HE1000se. With everything in the HIFIMAN planar magnetic lineup seemingly going towards stealth magnets now, I suppose it was inevitable that the HE1000 got the same treatment.

This is a radical change for the HE1000. The Stealth Magnets did things to the sound in exactly the way I have alluded to in the previous revisions of the Arya, Sundara and HE400 Headphones. The HE1000 V3 IS different from the 1 and 2 version. It is still an HE1000. The wide sound is still there, just slightly less.
